COURSE DETAILS


BAG CHECK
Before you line up to race, drop-off your pre-race/post-race clothing and belongings at Bag Check. While you run, your gear will be held at Bag Check. Each participant will receive a large, durable gear bag at packet pick up that will serve as your gear bag on race day. The Bag Check tent will be located in Genesis Parking Center. After the race, reclaim your checked bag from Bag Check. Please note: DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your gear bag. The event is not responsible for any lost items. Bag Check closes at 12pm
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION

Shuttles will be provided:

for relay teammates to the relay exchange point

7:30am
RELAY: ALL 2nd leg relay runners MUST board 2 shuttles for departure to relay exchange. (Transportation will not be provided for relay runners who arrive late.)
7:45am sharp
RELAY: 2nd leg relay runners depart for relay exchange.
9:00am
RELAY: 1st leg relay runners depart relay exchange for the Finish
9:35am
RELAY: 1st leg relay runners depart relay exchange for The Finish
COURSE TIME LIMIT
16 minute mile/ 3:30 : If you are not at the 9 mile marker by 10:00 am, you will be asked to leave the course in the provided safety vehicle. After this time, aid stations will be closing, police will not be monitoring traffic, and roads will be reopened. If you do not feel that you can maintain a 16 minute mile or less, please do not hesitate to get into the sweeper vehicle. We are mandated by the local police to sweep the course if runners fall short of the required cut off.
COURSE RULES
To ensure the safety and well being of others during the race, please adhere to the following: No dogs, bicycles, jogging strollers, roller skates, in-line skates or unauthorized wheeled vehicles will be permitted on the Half Marathon or Relay course.
WATER STATIONS
There are 12 Themed Water Stations located along the half marathon route. Water stations will provide hydration and entertainment.
PORTABLE RESTROOMS
Portable Restrooms will be on the course at miles 3, 6, 10 and 11
MEDICAL STATIONS
Longwood and Kennett EMS will have emergency vehicles staged throughout the course. A Medical Tent will be at the Finish Line.
CHIP TIMING
The Mushroom Cap Half Marathon & Relay timing system is provided by Fusion Racing.
Runners who wish to receive a time must pick up their timing chip at packet pick up on on November, 6th 2020 or on race day during the scheduled packet pick-up time.
Please ensure the following in order to receive an accurate time:
• Race bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso
• Race bib is unaltered and unmodified (do not fold or wrinkle)
• Race bib is pinned on all four corners
• Race bib is not covered (jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc.)
